How Much Does a Photo Booth Rental Cost in Toronto? (2026 Pricing)

Most photo booth sites make you fill out a form before they'll tell you a price. We'll just tell you. Here's what a booth actually costs in Toronto and the GTA in 2026, and what makes that number go up or down.

The two packages

We keep it to two, so you're not stuck decoding a menu of tiers.

• Essential, $550. The core experience: a real DSLR booth, studio lighting, an on-site attendant, unlimited prints, and instant sharing.

The phone guestbook

This is a separate product some people add and some book on its own. Guests pick up a vintage phone and leave you a message.

Common add-ons

A quick note on what these add-ons actually do, since the names don't all explain themselves. Props get guests loosened up early in the night. The glam filter is a soft black-and-white finish a lot of people want for weddings, the one that makes everyone look like they're in a magazine. The red carpet and stanchions turn the booth area into a little arrival moment. And the same-day photo album is exactly that: a hardcover book of the night's strips, printed and handed to you before you leave.

What actually moves the price

Two things, mostly. How long you want the booth running, and which add-ons you pick. The base covers the standard event window. Past that, more hours and more extras are what stack up. Travel can add a bit if your venue is well outside our usual GTA area.

What doesn't cost extra: backdrops are included, the attendant is included, and prints are unlimited. Nobody gets nickel-and-dimed on prints at the end of the night, which is worth checking on any quote you get. Some companies charge per print or cap your total, and that's where a cheap-looking package quietly gets expensive.

Why some quotes look cheaper

If you find a booth for $300, it's usually one of three things. It's an iPad in a stand instead of a real camera. It's unattended, so nobody's there if it jams. Or the low number is just the base, and prints, props, and an attendant get added back on after you book. None of that is automatically a scam, but it's why two quotes can look miles apart and end up close once you read the fine print.

The honest way to compare is to line up what's actually included. Real camera or tablet, attended or not, prints capped or unlimited, backdrop included or extra. Once you do that, most of the gap disappears.

Deposit and booking

A 30% deposit holds your date, and the rest is due closer to the event. For peak weekends we say book 6 to 12 months out. Those Saturdays in summer and fall go first, and once a date's gone it's gone, so the booking timeline matters more than people expect.

So what's the real total?

For most events it lands between the $550 base and somewhere north of $700 once a couple of extras go on. A wedding with a few hours and a guestbook sits higher than a two-hour birthday. The honest answer is it depends on your night, which is why the package builder shows your number as you pick. You change an option, the price updates, no form, no waiting on an email back.
